Blur faces in photos, automatically
Drop or paste a photo. Faces are found on your device and blurred; click any face to keep it visible.
How it works
- Step 1
Drop or paste a photo. It is processed in this tab and never uploaded.
- Step 2
Check the faces that were found: click one to keep it, or drag to cover anything else, like a name tag or number plate.
- Step 3
Download the image or copy it to your clipboard.

Finds the small faces too
Large group photos are scanned in overlapping tiles, so faces at the back of a crowd are found as well as the ones up front.
Blur, pixelate or black out
Pick the effect that suits the photo. For anything sensitive, choose a solid box: unlike blur, it can’t be partly reversed.
Photos stay private
Face detection runs on your device with a small model that downloads once. The photo is never sent anywhere.
Questions
How do I blur a face in a picture?
Drop the picture here. Faces are blurred automatically; click any you want to keep, then download.
It missed a face. What can I do?
Drag a box over it. Manual boxes get the same effect as detected faces.
Does the downloaded photo still contain my location?
No. The image is redrawn when you download it, so it carries no EXIF data, GPS location or camera details.
Can I blur faces in a video?
Not yet. Video face blur is on the way; for now, this works on photos and screenshots.
